What does DepositKit do?
It adds the container deposit required by a country's deposit return system to the order, as its own line, with the right amount for the drink's container and size.
Which countries are supported?
Countries with a live deposit return system in the EU/EEA and some neighbours, such as Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Poland, Ireland, Portugal and Malta. The United Kingdom and Greece are listed and start when their schemes do. See the countries page.
Which platforms does it work on?
Shopify today. Magento, WooCommerce and PrestaShop plugins are planned. Ask to be notified.
Are the amounts and VAT legally correct?
They are presets based on our research and the information published by each scheme, dated 2026-10-30. They are not legal or tax advice. Check amounts and VAT with your accountant or local scheme.
Do I have to show the deposit on the product page?
In most countries the deposit must be shown separately from the price. Add the DepositKit price block to your product page. See the setup guide.
How are refunds handled?
You handle refunds as for any other order line: refund the deposit line when you refund the drink.
Does a discount change the deposit?
A discount on the whole order can also lower the deposit. Use product or collection discounts, or exclude the Deposit product, if you want it unchanged.
Does DepositKit collect my customers' personal data?
No. It does not read or store customer names, emails, addresses or payment details. See the privacy policy.
How much does it cost?
Free for up to 50 deposit orders a month; Pro is €9 a month with a 14-day free trial. See pricing.
What happens when I uninstall?
Your settings and access keys are deleted. A hidden Deposit product stays in your catalogue and you can delete it.
